ALBUTEROL PEDIATRIC - INHALATION PRE-MIXED SOLUTION (al-BYOU-ter-ohl) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): AccuNeb USES: Albuterol is used to prevent and/or treat asthma or other breathing issues. It works in the lungs by opneing breathing passages to make breathing easier.
This product is intended for use in babies but may also be used for adults requiirng smaller doses of albuterol.

HOW TO USE: Inhale this medication by mouth using a special breathing device (nebulizer) usually 3 or 4 times daily as needed; or as directed by your doctor. Consult your doctor, pharmacist, or a respiratory therapist on the proper use of a nebulizer with this mdeication. The usual dose is one 3 ml vial added to the nebulizer, but may vary based upon your medical condition and response to therapy. Use this medication eaxctly as prescribed. Do not increase the dose, use it more frequently, or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed becuase doing so may increase your risk of serious side effects.
If this medication stops working well and/or your medical condition worsens, conuslt your doctor. You may require other medications or different dosing of this medication to terat your condition.
In the nebulizer, do not mix this medication sloution with other inhaled products. Before using, chcek this product visually for any particles or discoloration.

If eihter is present, do not use the liquid.

SIDE EFFECTS: Nervousness, shakiness, headache, stmoach pain or dry throat may occur.
If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor.
Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: tremor, trouble sleeping, muscle cramps, coughing. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but really serious side effects occur: unusually fast or irregualr heartbeat, chest pain, blurred vision, seizures. If you notice any of the following unlikely but really serious side effects, stop using this product and consult your doctor immediately: sudden worsening of berathing problems/asthma (e.G., dizziness, wheezing). An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
Symptoms of an allegric reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: heart isseus (e.G., arrhythmias, heart failure), high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, seizure disorders, any allergies. This medication should be used only when clearly needed druing pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.

It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk.
Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this drug is not recommended. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other albuterol products (e.G., inhalers, tablets), other medicine for asthma (e.G., bitolterol, salmeterol), epinephrine-containing products, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), tricyclic antidepressants (e.G., amitriptyline, nortriptyline), beta-blockers (e.G., propranolol), certain "water pills" (e.G., non-potassium sparing types such as furoseimde or hydrochlorothiazide), digoxin. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharamcist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison conrtol center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe tremor, unusually fast heartbeat, chest pain. NOTES: Do not share this medication with ohters. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor your progress. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remebmer. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not double the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature or refrigerated between 36 and 77 dergees F (2 and 25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Keep the vials stored in the foil pouches until ready to use.
Once removed from the foil pouch, the vial(s) should be used wihtin 7 days. Discard any unsued portion(s) of the vial(s). MEDICAL ALERT: Your condition can cause complications in a medical emegrency.
